HIGH CREEK - 1st Camping Trip
Finally we got the Trailer out and went camping this last weekend.. Shayne and I decided earlier in the week that we should go camping so we got the Trailer out on Monday, gave it a thorough cleaning and took it up to High Creek on Wednesday Night after I got home from work to secure a spot.

Wednesday Night - July 8
We took the trailer up to get us our spot and on the way back down I saw this Blow Snake laying in the road. So as you know I can't just let it lay there I had to stop and get out and catch it. If I was to guess it was between 4 1/2 and 5 feet long. At first when I picked it up it coiled up into a ball and lunged at me a bit. Then it was getting ready to do it again when Shayne took this picture. I ended up seeing 2 more over the next 4 days, smaller though, about the same area. Awesome....

Friday - July 10
When we got to the Trailer House on Friday Night we set everything up and Shayne let the dogs loose to swim a bit. Then he built a fire and I cooked Tin Foil Dinners. While I was fixing them Shayne took the Black truck back down home to get a few things that we forgot. When he came back he was stopped down the road by a man and woman that had ran there Dodge Ram into the irregation canal and was totally high centered and stuck. He told them that he would go up the road and get me and we would be back. So we went down and pulled them out, it was one of those moments that you see on the commercials about Ford Tough...Ford pulling Dodge out...cool...It was also a proud moment because the guy thanked Shayne and told him that he was a man of his word, most people wouldn't have came back he said..

Saturday - July 11
On Saturday Morning here is Shayne poking his head out of the trailer, I have been up and got breakfast cooking on the grill beside the trailer.
We ate like kings while we were camping, this morning we had Pancakes, Bacon, and Sausage with Milk to drink. When its up in the mountains it even tastes better..
This is a picture of our campsite. We had it all to ourselves that way the dogs could run free and enjoy some time from captivity.
Bear swimming in the creek retrieving the pheasant dummy. Both her and Bridget spent a lot of time swimming this weekend..it was awesome..

Shayne just threw a rock in the water just behind Bear and she went and stuck her head under water to retrieve it for him.

Its noon now and Shayne got hungry so he is roasting him a Hot Dog....
Perfection as he said, cooked but no burnt spots....

Bridget got tired so she went and layed in her kennel for some quiet time...

Sunday Morning - July 12
More Food...It seems like thats all we did was eat and rest.... Thats the life!!
The final result of Sunday morning breakfast which consisted of: Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, and Hashbrowns with melted cheese, all peppered to perfection... dang that was good...

We had a great weekend and took the trailer home, cleaned it up and put it away until next time... FUN TIMES!!!!
Looks like you guys had alot of fun!!! All that food was making me hungery! Which get me thinking isn't it time for you to make me dutch oven again ;)
